Effective 2026-09-03 · version 2026-09-1

Your moment, not your exact location

Flaera shows what is happening around you using approximate areas. Activity is grouped into an area rather than shown at a point, and a person never becomes a live-moving pin that others can follow.

Your exact location is never a public pin. What other people see is the neighbourhood a moment happened in, not where you are standing.

One moment a day, made in the moment

Flaera is built around a single daily capture — a photo, a short video or a loop, made where you are rather than pulled from your camera roll. There is no feed designed to keep you scrolling, and no archive of everything you have ever posted.

A profile holds the last seven days. Enough to get a sense of someone, without turning their life into a permanent record.

A Flare shows intent. It does not buy access

A Flare lets someone show that a moment mattered enough to pause over. It is a signal, and it is deliberately not free, so that it stays rare.

A Flare never purchases a person, a reply, or a relationship. The person who receives it always chooses what happens next. If they accept and reply, the conversation opens. If they do not, the Flare returns to the sender.

Mutual by design

Contact between people is built to be chosen by both of them:

  • one clear signal, rather than an open channel for unsolicited messages
  • amounts and conversations stay private between the two people involved
  • you can accept, decline, block or report, and you never have to explain why

Reporting something

If someone is behaving in a way that does not belong on Flaera, you can report them from the app, and you can block them at the same time. Blocking does not notify the person you blocked.

Until the app is available, you can reach us at flaerasupport@gmail.com.

What this page does not cover

This page describes how Flaera is designed to work. It is not a promise that nothing will ever go wrong, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement about meeting people. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
